ABOUT THE BOOK: During an afternoon of baptizing over 800 people, Pastor Rick Warren realized it was time for change. He told his congregation he needed to lose weight and asked if anyone wanted to join him. He thought maybe 200 people would sign up, instead he witnessed a movement unfold as 15,000 people lost over 260,000 pounds in the first year. With assistance from medical and fitness experts, Pastor Rick and thousands of people began a journey to transform their lives. Welcome to The Daniel Plan.
MY REVIEW: Faith, food, fitness, focus, and friends are the essential factors surrounded around this book by Rick Warren. Warren to me as an author has always succeeded in the sense that he is relevant and able to get to the core of what is needed in order to better understand the subject he is presenting. With this book The Daniel Plan I was a little disappointed in the sense that I felt mislead. Maybe if I would have looked more into it, but I truly thought it was a sort of diet plan book. I did however find positives things to this book, which expressed the fact that faith, food, fitness, focus, and friends are very essential to one having success not only in having a better and healthier life, but also being well balanced. I gave this book a 4 out of 5 stars for the simple fact, that it was not what I expected (explained before). Each factor is well explained and you get a nice chart of basics needs and recipes in order to have and practice a healthier life style. Overall it was a good book to help you focus on those important things in life and keep them in check and balanced, that will in turn give you good health overall and influence all the other factors that apply to good health overall.
