POEM: PARIS, PARIS, LET ME SPEAK

920734-bigthumbnail

Paris, Paris, terror rages on your streets,
The hearts and souls of those before have been covered with fear,
But in your midst stands a people,
A people not willing to give in,
Terror rises, faith renewed,
Paris, Paris, let me speak
Of your history so cool and deep,
The rivers flow with your soul,
A land of freedom filled with joy,
We shall not sleep, we will not give in,
Terror rises, our faith renewed
A people United we shall stand,
Terror rises, our faith renewed,
Paris, Paris, let me speak,
You have birthed great men and women,
From big to small your streets are filled,
Terror rises, our faith renewed
In you we see a people so deeply entangled, with a spirit of worth!
Paris, Paris, let me speak.

Hey Kuheli, Thanks for the comment. When I wrote it I thought that what happened in Paris, not only affected them, but it affects us all, we need to bind together to overcome violence!
