POEM: MAMATINA

1400010223359

I’m taken back to a time of innocence,
There I sit on top of the old car,
A brown dodge who’s seen his fair share of trials,
My heart aches in a time of celebration,
I can’t seem to find what is that which aches,
In a place separated by land and sea I am found,
My mamatina sits by herself,
Hoping to one day see me again,
But time passes by,
Will my eyes touch hers? or will time disappear?
I sit in pain missing her,
Not knowing that at that very moment she feels what I feel,
The time would past and never again
would I get to see my mamatina again.
